Usually I dislike dramas because they often merely reflect reality. I love other genres because they are surreal, telling a story about something you most likely won´t find in daily life. However, this movie surprised me! Although "Lady Bird" shows the struggles and obstacles of growing up as a teenager, it is not a dry story but rather sarcastically comments on life. In many instances it reminded me of my own relationship to my mother and although I was never as witty as Lady Bird, I indeed experienced love and frustration as a daughter who is just trying to find her place in the world. Definitely recommend 10/10.
